Drew Krag graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Jazz Guitar Performance. He studied under many inspiring professors including; Frank Dawson, William Russo, Peter Lerner and Rick Beancci. Drew has also attended many guitar workshops and seminars where he received instruction from; John Scofield, Paul Gilbert, John Patitucci, Jim Hall, Pat Martino, Larry Coryell, Mike Stern, John Abercrombie, Jody Fisher, and Harry Jacobson. As well as being a co founder of www.GuitarPlayerU.com, Drew has also been a panelist and contributor to www.gearwire.com. He also competed in the American Guild of Music Regional Music Competition, taking 1st place in pop solo for three consecutive years.
Drew has been teaching music classes for over twenty years. In addition to teaching guitar, Drew offers classes in audio recording, mixing, music business/marketing, drums, piano, & music theory. His focus is getting his students more involved by helping them find their true voice on their instrument.
Drew Krag currently teaches guitar, drums, and recording arts full time at a middle school / high school in San Rafael.
